Enough with the snow already!!

Things have been very quiet in the Coles household lately. We can't really do a whole lot given the current weather situation. Each night we go to bed with rain and in the morning we awaken to snow. This is not the typical weather pattern in this area. We've lived here four years now and have had more snowy mornings in the past two and half weeks than in all the previous years combined. To make matters worse, it's only a slight dusting of snow so not enough to play in but just enough to make driving a little difficult.

Jayden has developed a very cute little habit each night with the weather. He watches the weather report on the evening news and when the man says "rain and wind, with a chance of low snow" Jayden spins around and sighs in disgust while telling me, "He just said more rain and wind...for the whole day and week". The poor little guy has been asking to go to the zoo and, more importantly, the beach for weeks now and there doesn't seem to be chance of either trip soon.

We are in the "initial approach" to the end of pregnancy with only 8 weeks left until delivery. With all the movement this baby has, I think he wants out of there as soon as possible. Just the other night as Jayden lay on my belly, he was recooperating from whacking his chin on the coffee table, his "baby brudder" let him have it right in the head. Jayden looked back a little stunned but more amused that he could feel his kicks.
