The Countdown Continues

With only two months left before the big arrival, we are trying to spend as much one on one time with Jayden as we can. Jayden seems to be very excited with the impending arrival so that's a bonus. In fact, he's been talking about his baby "brudder" quite a bit at school these last few weeks even announcing what his name will be.

Although Tony swears he was dying (Jayden had brought home a nasty cold bug and spent last weekend coughing and sneezing, even begging for more medicine and this weekend was Tony's turn), we all got to the zoo on Sunday when the temperature finally reached 60! Jayden finally got to ride the zoo train for the first time since Thanksgiving and he was smiles from ear to ear the entire 25 minute ride. He was able to watch the "super huge" elephant eat her cheerios and hay and even get a few drinks of water from her water tub. His other highlight was visiting the Lorikeet Landing to feed the birds and search for his favorite red lorikeet, which was no where to be found on this day. All in all, it was a good day for us all (even if Tony couldn't breathe).

The week is off to a good start. Tony is feeling a little better. Jayden has kicked into hyper helper mode and has been helping with everything from laundry to cooking dinners (without being asked). He even gave Tiger Kitty a bath today, if only someone was around to photograph that one (I'm sure Tiger is happy that didn't happen).

I'll be sure to post an update next weekend as I have a few doctors appointments including an ultrasound scheduled.
